Green Shapes and Moulds is the brainchild of Mr. Sivakumar, Managing Partner of Green Shapes and Managing Director of Banfab Textiles India Pvt. Ltd. His journey reflects a lifelong dedication to quality, sustainability, and innovation.
Foundations of Innovation
- 2003: Mr. Sivakumar establishes Banfab Textiles India Pvt. Ltd., supplying high-quality garments to defense units in India.
- 2015: Inspired by environmental challenges, he begins exploring renewable materials, identifying banana pseudo-stem fibers as a potential game-changer in sustainability.
Pioneering Sustainability
- 2016 - 2018 : After two years of intensive research, Mr. Sivakumar develops a 60% banana fiber and 40% cotton blend, achieving full spinnability.
- 2018: The banana-cotton yarn is launched to global markets, proving the viability of sustainable natural fibers for modern textiles
Expanding Horizons
- 2022: Green Shapes and Moulds is founded, introducing compostable tableware like plates, bowls, and trays to combat single-use plastics.
- 2023: The company pioneers agri-composite pulp papers, eliminating wood and chemical use in the paper industry, drastically reducing environmental impact.
